Heartbroken.

At the end of August, I had to have my partner in crime & grime put to sleep. I have missed Freya every single day since and will continue to do so.

I have a problem. The problem is, that once I'm awake, I'm awake end of story. No matter how I try or how long I lie there I can't go back to sleep,

I find myself back at Forest Farm today. Or rather I'm more on the banks of the old Glamorganshire Canal. The usual spot in the hide is dead.

Over the last few weeks I've been doing more and more nature photography. It's getting serious I'm starting to find nuts and seeds in my pockets.

I've only gone and done it. As it says in the title I've bought a stupid big lens, it doesn't even fit in my camera bag. It has the front seat to itself in the car and even wears a seat belt.

The first shoot of 2024? If you define a shoot as one were you spend any meaningful time out on location or in the studio then yeah this was the first.

For the last few days I haven't been feeling my best mentally. I've been a nightmare to live with. Life has just become too, too much. What's caused it?

I was awake at stupid o'clock again this morning and decided to go and take some photos. I didn't know where I was going to go, except that I needed to be out.
