About Me
Charlie Hannah
Photographer
Of all the pages on a website, I find this the hardest one to write. How do I write about myself without sounding big-headed or conceited? I have to write it, so here goes nothing as they say, although being a Scouser, I say something else.
Quick Background Information
I was first bitten by the photography bug when I joined the school camera club. I recall the thrill of seeing the image appear on paper in the darkroom, a feeling I still get today whenever I process a roll of film.
Now almost fifty years later from that day, I am a photographer based in South Wales and spend my time photographing the stunning scenery and coastlines of this part of the country. I have had a lifelong fascination with water which features in much of my photographic work.

Some Facts About Me
All my life I have been fascinated by water and spent much of my childhood on or in the local canal. Water is still one of my favourite subjects to photograph.
I Love The Dark
Despite being afraid of the dark for much of my childhood, I love being ‘Alone in the Dark’. Along with water the night is one of my favourite photographic subjects.
Why Photography?
I was bitten by the photography bug in secondary school when I went along to have a look at what the school camera club was all about. The moment I saw the image appear on the paper in the dark room I was hooked. I still get the same thrill now 50 years later whenever I process a roll of film.
