The imperial march | South Wales Wedding photography
the moment everyone waits for the bride's big entranceHere she comes, ladies and gentlemen i give you the bride
The Imperial March, whatever you want to call it. There is usually so much pomp in the wedding march that it may as well be the Imperial March. At times I turn around expecting to see a figure in black striding up the aisle followed by the imperial guards instead of bridesmaids.
It’s the time where practically everyone gets to see the bride for the first time and gives a collective Ahhhhh! Doesn't she look lovely? Every bride is gorgeous on their big day; that's not to say that they're not any other day, either. But how would I know what they look like first thing in the morning? For all I know they could look like a bulldog chewing a wasp when they wake up.
The imperial march when Everyone goes, 'Awww, isn't she gorgeous!'
As a wedding photographer during the Imperial March/Bridal March, I spend a lot of my time walking backwards down the aisle. Honestly, the number of times I've walked backwards down the aisle, it’s a wonder I haven't got eyes in my arse. Walking backwards, I can’t see the look on the congregation's face, just the delight and hint of nervousness in the bride's eyes and the nervous smile on her face.
This photographer has been known to shed a tear when the bride walks down the asile. I know I'm a big softie
